Internship Opportunities with OCFC

Looking to gain quality experience working in the sports field? Oakland County Football Club is currently accepting internship applications for the 2018 season!

Ideal candidates will be ready to begin as early as February and provide support throughout the 2018 season.

The following unpaid internships (commission opportunities available) and volunteer opportunities are designed for an individual seeking future work experience in a related field.

All candidates must be available to work 6–8 hours on match days in addition to 10 hours on non-match days per week.


Communications and Game Day Operations Interns

Description:

These internships will be responsible for assisting in communication and game day duties including but not limited to: drafting press releases, social media and original content for Oakland County FC, assisting in game day operations (field liason, event coordination, etc). These internships will also be assigned other duties by OCFC. Candidates must have the ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of this position which could include working major scheduled events on nights and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field liason and coordinator throughout entirety of game day

  • Assist in game day media relations tasks such as credentialing, check-in, statistics distribution and online coverage

  • Assist in match-day box office operations including ticket fulfillment, customer service, setup and breakdown, and sales

  • Press Box set-up, pre and postgame

  • Collection and transcription of postgame interviews

  • Interaction and fulfillment of on-site media requests

  • Organize game day stats and information for distribution to media, visiting team personnel, etc.

  • Must be available to assist at all OCFC home games (13 weekends May-July) and community events

  • Be able to take new assignments and deliver a product with minimal supervision

  • Be available to work 6–8 hours on match days in addition to 10 hours on non-match days per week

Sales and Sponsorship Intern

As a Sales and Sponsorship Intern you will play a key role in the ticket sales department in the sale of full season and single match tickets, as well as sponsorship acquisition (commission based incentives). You will work directly with the Director of Sales and the sponsorship department in touching point between Oakland County FC fans and the organization.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist the sponsorship department in activating contract deliverables, evaluating proof of performance, and researching new sponsorship opportunities (commission opportunity available!)

  • Assist in match-day box office operations including ticket fulfillment, customer service, setup and breakdown, and sales

  • Attend designated community events to promote awareness of the Oakland County FC brand in the Oakland County area

  • Assist in the compilation of internal and external ticket sales reports

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Sales

  • This intern will also actively prospect potential sponsorship opportunities and assist in the activation of partner contracts

Video Editor Intern

Description:

As a Video Editor Intern you will play a key role in producing and editing video content for Oakland County FC’s marketing team. You will work directly with the Video Producer, as well as the Marketing team, to coordinate all video content across all platforms (social media, broadcast, and internal).

The ideal Video Editor will have:

  • Experience with DSLR shooting

  • Experience editing using Adobe Premiere CC and/or After Effects

  • Experience shooting interviews and highlight content for action sports (preferred)
