Memorial Day Weekend Home Opener on tap for Oakland County

Composed by OCFC Writing Staff
Oakland County Football Club will be welcoming fans back to Royal Oak High School for the club’s home opener on Saturday, May 28th.
Even though the game comes later than expected, Saturday will be an early opportunity for County to avenge the season opening loss away to AFC Ann Arbor. Traveling OCFC supporters  saw major improvements from their side from Game 1 to 2, with the Purple Gang allowing just one goal and increased offensive threat in Kalamazoo. County may also receive an attacking boost Saturday evening, with the potential season debuts of Alex Steinwascher and Alex Dalou. Both forwards were very impressive in their limited appearances in purple a season ago.

Oakland looks to avenge their season opening loss.

Saturday’s events will begin at Zeoli’s Modern Italian, located in Downtown Clawson, where County fans can come and enjoy good times, discounted food, and an exclusive $1 beer special. The restaurant will also be back to sponsor the Zeoli’s Pizza Minute, a chance for supporters to earn some delicious free treats during the game.
Tickets to the matched can be purhcased here.
With the team’s return to Royal Oak High School, the club has provided new amenities as well. Longtime County fans and newcomers alike will notice the updated concourse as well as a brand new club merch shop. Children will also have an immersive experience as parents can take their little ones to the OMPT Kids Zone. Young fans can get their faces painted, collect balloon animals, take a spin in the bounce house, and practice their hardest shot!
The match day experience doesn’t end there! After the game’s conclusion and player autographs, join us at The Lucky Duck, also in Clawson, for the official post-match gathering. The exclusive event will include drink specials, complimentary eats, and an opportunity to meet other fans and club staff alike.
