(June 16, 2025) — OCFC delivered a commanding first-half performance to claim a 3-0 victory over Lansing City FC on a spooky, Friday the 13th-themed clash at Royal Oak HS Stadium. In front of a festive crowd and wearing a special “blackout” kit, the home side showcased flair, control, and clinical finishing.
Luke Spadafora was the star of the show, netting twice (18’, 45’) to confirm the dominant half for the Purple. Tim Allos scored his first goal by doubling the lead in the 23rd minute. The third and final goal was a strong finish by L. Spadafora, converting after a precisely placed pass from Alex Rosin, recently crowned the Gatorade Michigan Boys Soccer Player of the Year, further amplifying the celebration.
The second half was all about game management. OCFC controlled the possession and frustrated Lansing’s attempt to build rhythm. Substitutions made by head coach Steve Walker brought fresh energy while preserving the clean sheet, and giving opportunities for the whole squad, by anchoring a composed back line that barely gave the visitors a sniff at goal. With the match sealed by the break, the Purple played with confidence, enjoying the home fans’ energy under the light rain that made the special night even spookier.
The win puts County in third place in the league with 12 points after 7 games in the season. Looking ahead, OCFC hosts two home matches against Midwest United (June 21) and AFC Ann Arbor (June 28). The boys in purple look primed for a strong push trying to secure important points while aiming for the playoffs.
