Matchday Preview: OCFC vs. Livonia City FC

Oakland County FC look to make it two wins in a row as they take on Livonia City FC of the Michigan Premier Soccer League, in a Mother’s Day Appreciation Match. OCFC will take a break from league play in what will be the first matchup all time against Livonia.
Coming off of a 2-1 victory against Ole Soccer Club in the league opener, Coach Morana has selected a slightly rotated squad for tomorrow. “Myself and Coach Johnson are excited to give a few guys an opportunity to impress for the first team squad. We will most likely have a different lineup in the second half from the first.” – Morana said. The roster for tomorrow is listed below:
Goalkeepers – Ludin Gonzales (Upper Iowa), Cary Wilson (Tiffin University)
Defenders – Ryan Messick (Anderson University), Talal Hamodi (Marygrove College), Moussa Diallo (Marygrove College), Connor Ballantyne (Oakland University), Ian Walker (Schoolcraft College), Jeremy Stoychoff (University of Detroit), Jeff Okerstrom (Marygrove College)
Midfielders – Joe Beshara (Rochester College), Saeed Tawill (Marygrove College), Adam Clauss (University of Detroit), Julian Birge (Alma College), Javier Steinwascher (Indianapolis University), Hamid Barry (Oakland University), Kevin Pinkos (University of Detroit), Kaveon Dux (Oakland University)
Forwards – Mario Morana (Marygrove College), Nwokoye Chukwudi (Kachi FC), Azaad Liadi (Saginaw Valley State), Abdoulie Jallow (Marygrove College)
Gonzales, Messick, Diallo, Birge, Steinwascher and Pinkos will all make their season debuts, while Walker, Clauss and Liadi will be making their OCFC debuts.
Game Day Details:
The kick-off is slated for 5pm at Royal Oak High School with the gates opening an hour before. Mother’s will be honored with a pregame walkout with the players. Tickets will be general admission, with $10 at the gate, $7 online and children under 5 FREE.
Food trucks from Marconi’s Pizza and Delectable will be there, along with stands from Nice Modern Creamery and Dave’s Sweet Tooth Toffee.
