Oakland County FC to host Inter Detroit for season finale match of 2020

Oakland County FC and Inter Detroit last week announced a 2020 friendly at Clawson Stadium on July 25. Kickoff for the match is set for 7 PM ET.

This will be a rematch of last season’s thriller that saw Oakland County upend the visiting Inter Detroit by a score of 3-1. Both teams now see themselves in different leagues as Oakland is now in USL 2, while Inter has joined the UPSL.

The end-of-July friendly will serve as OCFC’s final home match of eight for the season unless a deep run in the 2020 playoffs is in store.

“We can’t wait to host this match again. Last season, Inter brought quite the crowd with them and the atmosphere was electric on both sides,” OCFC Co-Owner Nick Morana said. “It’s good for growing the game when two like-minded clubs meet on the pitch.”

Tickets for the season finale will go on sale in early April and will be included with the purchase of a 2020 season ticket. Season tickets will go on sale early this month at www.oaklandcountyfc.com.
